Stay In Faith

Imagine this:

From afar, he gazed upon all that the Lord had blessed him with the abundance, the peace, and the deep gratitude swelling in his heart toward God. Quietly, in humble reflection, he may have thought to himself, Obeying God and leaving my father’s house was worth it. As he lingered in grateful thought, a gentle touch small fingers grasping his hand pulled him back to reality. “Hey! Stop running around!” a voice called out from a distance. The little boy, staring up at him now. “Oh, Master, forgive us,” the man said. “He’s been running around like this all morning.” He lifted the child into his arms, apologized once more, and returned to his post. This brief scene pierced his heart;a quiet reminder that, despite all he possessed, he had no one to pass it on to.

But that night, in Genesis 15, the Lord visited Abraham and promised him a son.

Abram said, “Lord God, what reward will You give me, since I am [leaving this world] childless, and he who will be the owner and heir of my house is this [servant] Eliezer from Damascus? “Then behold, the word of the Lord came to him, saying, “This man [Eliezer] will not be your heir but he who shall come from your own body shall be your heir.”Genesis‬ ‭15‬:‭2,4

Sometimes, just like Abraham, the blessing in someone else’s life becomes a mirror reflecting what we do not yet have, even when we have been obedient to God. But be encouraged: The God you serve will fulfill every promise He has spoken. Keep trusting Him. When you are confronted with all that seems absent in your life, remember that the men and women of the Bible wrestled with their own struggles too yet they kept the faith, and the Lord revealed Himself strong on their behalf.

✝️The reminders may come, but keep your heart fixed on the greatness of our God.
